Challenge

Two senior managers within a privately owned FMCG business in Kent were due to retire and we were asked to find long term replacements. Both positions needed to be held by someone who could re-grow departments and plan for succession in key roles. The other factor was to get an adequate handover period to ensure business continuity.

Solution

We undertook a search that looked to identify candidates who had worked within high volume manufacturing SMEs in Kent. Our longlisting process for both positions involved contacting over 80 prospective candidates. We ran in-depth pre-screening to ensure those who progress to short list stage had the right motivations, experience, and attitude.

On our advice, the company moved rapidly through the interview stages and succeed in recruiting both senior positions. Start dates were negotiated so there was ample time for a lengthy and smooth handover with their respective predecessors.
