CAD Design Engineer

Job description

A market leading specialist engineering organisation is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in West Sussex.

The CAD Design Engineer will be responsible for the progression of complex plant layout / design drawings for bespoke projects across a number of industries using AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide CAD drawings using Auto CAD 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D for all engineering projects
• Typical work will include Plant Layout, P&ID's, Pressure Vessel Design, Isometrics (ducting and piping) and structural drawings
• Maintain and develop standard CAD drawings
• Work from Process data sheets and previous projects to develop detail drawings
• To maintain appropriate electronic and hard copy records for quality assurance and contract execution
• Provide CAD drawings in support of sales bids

In order to be considered for this position candidates will have proven experience in creating CAD Design / plant layout drawings across Oil & Gas, pharmaceutical, mining, FMCG, or closely related industries. You will ideally be familiar with Plant 3D (AutoCAD exposure will also be considered).
