Operational Excellence Manager

Job description

A global FMCG organisation is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in London.

Working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment the Operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for Leading the site continuous optimisation program using a lean manufacturing approach, with a focus on waste reduction and plant efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a small team of Operational Excellence Engineers to become recognised experts in the business
• Implement justified improvement initiatives/projects and report on the benefits of delivered projects
• Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training/ workshops to drive cultural change
• To identify areas where continuous improvement resource may be required and flag to Operations Director
• Develop and conduct compliance audits, program evaluations and reviews to drive results with the strength to ensure change is permanent

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have demonstrable experience improving processes and efficiencies with a 24/7 automated manufacturing environment. Candidate must also have experience leading and developing small teams. It would be advantageous to have gained this experience within a food manufacturing environment, however other high-volume manufacturing environments will also be considered.
