Mechanical Design Engineer

Job description

A global organisation is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their prestigious site in Dorset.

Working within a complex engineering environment the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for producing new innovative designs to add to the clients port-folio of products.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Supporting new product initiatives and delivering projects within time and budget constraints
• Producing CAD drawings
• Working closely with customers
• Producing engineering documentation i.e. BOM’s and Engineering Change Requests
• Work collaboratively with other internal departments

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven full life cycle design experience using a top end 3D CAD package. Candidates should also hold a formal qualification i.e. HND / HNC or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject. It would be advantageous to have experience on the design of moving parts, mechanisms, pneumatics etc.
