Process Engineer

Job description

A market leading specialist engineering organisation is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in West Sussex.

The Process Engineer will be responsible for delivering process designs and engineering expertise for new projects and in support of sales bids for complex installations of specialist industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop the most cost effective process solutions for meeting the clients’ process requirements in a timely manner
• Prepare Design Output Registers, Process Flow Diagrams, Energy and Mass Balances, P&IDs, calculations, datasheets, schedules Process Control Philosophies, Design Risk Assessments and other project documentation as required in order to hand over to the mechanical and electrical engineering designers to undertake the mechanical, electrical and process instrumentation detail designs
• Provide engineering design advice to project managers for contract designs and to sales managers for pre-contract designs
• Attend sales meetings, engineering reviews, HAZOP's and commissioning meetings with clients
• Attend site for client process/system reviews, ERG system performance reviews and trouble-shooting, process optimisation and process performance testing
• Provide CAD drawings in support of sales bids

In order to be considered for this position candidates will have proven experience in creating CAD Design / plant layout drawings across Oil & Gas, pharmaceutical, mining, FMCG, or closely related industries. You will ideally be familiar with Plant 3D (AutoCAD exposure will also be considered). Knowledge / experience of ASME (pressure vessel) codes is also required.
