Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job description

A world leading manufacturer are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work on day shift at their site in Lancashire.

The primary responsibility of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be to ensure the smooth operation of plant machinery.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the continuous running of equipment
• Improve the production facilities and minimise the incidence of machine breakdowns
• Develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and safety of the manufacturing equipment
• Performing routine maintenance and dealing with emergency breakdowns
• Assist with installing and commissioning of new equipment
• Preparing, carrying out and recording weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual preventative maintenance schedules

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven mechanical and electrical maintenance experience gained within a high-volume manufacturing environment such a packaging, FMCG, food etc. Candidates should also hold an NVQ level 3 in either Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
