Senior Quality Engineer

Job description

A global organisation is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in Dorset.

Working within a high-technology environment the Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for carrying out internal and external product and process audits against internal procedures and external approval standards.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Identify root cause failure for non-conformances
• Implement and evaluate effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions introduced
• Provide support to all departments and drive a cultural change to right first time quality
• Work closely with all internal functions to resolve quality issues in a timely manner to improve company performance and customer service
• Introduce quality planning (APQP) and develop documentation and preventative measures
• Provide quality planning support to ensure the successful introduction of new production processes and new product development

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven quality experience within an engineering environment and as such have good experience of quality tools such as root cause, 8D, APQP etc. Candidates should also have good knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 and trained to Lead auditor level.
