Production Engineer
Job description
A market leading specialist engineering organisation is seeking a Production Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in Hampshire.
The Production Engineer will be responsible for managing production within various departments including machining, metal treatments, welding and paint application. You will liaise with internal departments to estimate and plan the work to keep production moving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing contracts for requirements
- Reviewing the estimate for information on tooling and total time for components.
- Raising product structure on an internal ERP system, when required, checking to ensure the correct issue of drawings, item list, or drawing list issue are connected, in accordance with the contract
- checking the information contained in the part numbers, product structures, routings and work guidelines to the correct issue of drawings, item list, or drawing list issue to ensure they are connected, in accordance with the contract. Once completed, informing the Inventory & Production Planning Manager.
- Raising internal concessions when a change from the contract is required.
In order to be considered for this position candidates will have proven knowledge of key manufacturing processes including; machining, fabrication, metal treatment and paint spraying. You will also have working knowledge of MRP / SAP systems. Any exposure within highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Marine or Nuclear would be highly advantageous but not essential.
