Electrical Maintenance Manager
Job description
A global manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Manager to join their engineering department on a permanent basis to work at their plant in the West Midlands.
Working within a complex manufacturing environment, the Electrical Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the engineering services provided by the facility are of the highest standard and delivered within a set budget by a highly engaged and motivated team of 9 multi-skilled maintenance engineers.
Other responsibilities include:
- Setting a strategy to achieve excellence and fostering a culture of performance excellence within the engineering team;
- Continually improving the CMMS system and planned maintenance programme,
- Developing engineering performance targets including planned / unplanned downtime Helping to define department strategies to improve machine availability; driving KPI’s focusing on reducing costs whilst improving productivity and quality;
- Identifying and promoting culture changes where necessary to ensure best performance;
In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have demonstrable experience in a management or leadership role in a maintenance function ideally within in a high volume or complex manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in leading, motivating and improving maintenance teams to achieve performance and budgetary targets is also essential. Candidates should also have a strong background in driving maintenance improvements including use of CMMS systems and root cause analysis techniques.
A recognised Electrical qualification (Degree/HNC/NVQ) is also essential. Experience of High Voltage, PLCs (Siemens S7) and/or AC/DC drives would be an advantage.
The position is Monday - Friday days (flexible start/finish) and as well as a salary the position comes with 25 days holiday, bonus, healthcare and defined pension scheme. There are excellent opportunities to progress both your career and qualifications.
