Production Planner

Job description

A world leading manufacturing organisation are seeking a Production Planner to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their prestigious factory in Essex.

Working with a complex manufacturing environment the Production Planner will work closely with all in the business units to ensure that the processes are planned and product is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Other core responsibilities include:

• Making sure the production plan is realistic and that all material meets the needs of the wider operation
• Ensure all relevant requirements are raised and updated on the ERP system
• Create forecast plans for peak demand periods and shutdown
• Liaise with suppliers where relevant and manage required customer reports

The position is days based role Monday to Friday and comes with 26 days holiday, company pension scheme and use of on-site gym. The salary will increase upon successful completion of the initial 6 month probation.  

In order to be considered for this position you will need to have had some production planning or materials planning gained within a manufacturing environment. Experience using an MRP or ERP system is advantageous. Good communication and IT skills are also needed for this opportunity.
