Shift Production Manager

Job description

A global pharmaceutical business are looking for a Shift Manager to join their factory management team on a permanent basis in Hertfordshire.

Working in a core area of their factory, they are looking for an experienced Production Manager who has managed shift teams and has expertise in driving performance, coaching staff and implementing KPIs.

The opportunity will involve managing a multi-disciplined team of c50 team leaders, operators, technicians, and quality technician across 3 production areas. Further responsibilities will include:

• Provide technical and organisational leadership via Team Leaders and Operators, to produce quality products to schedule
• Drive the achievement of business targets and objectives through KPI’s
• Monitor, measure and present production related process performance and ensure product quality
• Review budgets and participate in departmental business planning activities
• Manage the implementation of engineering changes, production trials and product changes

The position is based on a rotating 2 Shift basis (6am - 2pm and 2pm-10pm)

To be considered for this opportunity, you will previously held a Production Manager or Shift Manager position managing a large team in a complex manufacturing environment. Pharmaceutical experience is preferred although applications will be considered from other high speed or regulated manufacturing (pharma, FMCG, aerospace, automotive, etc). A formal management or Lean/Six Sigma qualification is preferred and experience of problem solving in manufacturing is also required.

As well as salary the position comes with 25 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays), pension scheme and share scheme.
