Engineering Manager

Job description

A market leading specialist engineering company is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in Hampshire.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing a growing team of multi disciplined design and project engineers delivering on current projects for key customers and also working on NPD activities within new industries as the company continues to grow.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the day to day running of the Engineering / Applications team.
• Collating project data, reviewing and probe findings to ensure projects are running according to plan
• Drive communication and high performance
• Present to the Board Engineering / Applications statistics and proposals on a regular basis
• Ensuring the team have goals and objectives, are motivated, managed, supported, appraised and developed alongside HR best practices
• Develop strong working relationship with internal and external partners

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven experience in managing a technical / design department (ideally within a high technology environment). You will be conversant with SolidWorks or a design package that is closely related. Any exposure operating in highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive and Renewable energy would be highly advantageous.
